Secure Gun Storage in Kent. We are able to offer Secure Gun Storage in Kent and to store your guns on a temporary or a long-term basis. It could be for a number of reasons that you wish to have your guns stored with and we will also store FAC rated air guns. We can collect your gun from your home address anywhere in Kent, East & West Sussex and Surrey (let us know where you live) and we can quote you a collection charge; and we have an admin charge of £25 per gun. If you live outside those counties we can still store your guns, but the Collection Fee may increase due to the increase in distance. We will also offer this service if you want to surrender or dispose of your Shotguns or Rifles but for surrendered weapons (depending on what they are) charges may not apply.
The law requires us to see a valid shotgun certificate (for a shotgun) or Firearms Certificate (for a rifle) upon collection of all guns. When we collect your guns/firearms, the guns will be checked over, photographed and a short report on the condition of the gun(s) kept on file. You will receive an email receipt from ourselves which you should be kept in a safe place just in case you need to show any requesting Police Force the whereabouts of your gun(s).
All guns in our storage facility are checked on a weekly basis. Each gun will be stored in a Gun-Sock (cost £12.99) to keep it/them in a stable condition. We will clean and lubricate the gun(s) prior to storing them. Any gunslips will be stored along with your guns.

How much does gun storage cost?
Our gun storage fee per single gun is £10 per month, paid to us via Standing Order at the beginning of each month from your Bank Account to ours.
Non Payment of Storage Fees
We ask that the customer makes every effort to ensure that the monthly payments for gun storage are met. If the monthly storage fees for your gun(s) are not paid for a Consecutive Period of 6 months at any time during the duration of storage, The Hunting Edge Country Sports reserves the right to deem those Firearms as property of The Hunting Edge Country Sports.
I want to surrender or dispose my Shotguns or Rifles
If you have decided that you wish to surrender or dispose your Shotgun, Rifle or FAC Rated Air Rifle for whatever reason, we will certainly help you with this. Please contact us and let us know what Shotguns or Rifles you wish to surrender. If you live in Kent East Sussex, West Sussex or Surrey, please let us know and we can make arrangements for collection.
Family Bereavement
The loss of a loved one is a very difficult time for all the family and with all the arrangements and other matters to sort out having Shotguns/Firearms in the home can just add to the anxiety that dealing with all the arrangements can bring. If the deceased has shotguns and/or firearms it means that they are technically now unlicensed. Whilst the Police are generally sympathetic to the situation, the shotguns/firearms need to be taken into RFD storage as soon as possible. It may be that a member of the family has a vacant slot to take a shotgun, but for a firearm a Firearms Certificate (FAC) will require a variation to take a firearm which can take months. We can collect and store the Shotgun(s)/Rifles(s) for you.
Do you insure guns?
Unfortunately this is a service we do not offer.
Can I have my gun serviced while it is with you?
Yes of course; this can be arranged with a member of the team. We will provide you with a cost before undertaking the work. We will clean and lubricate the gun(s) prior to storing them.
My Shotgun certificate is due to expire can you hold my guns on a temporary basis?
Yes, we can do that. As a Registered Firearms Dealer we are here to help you and the licensing police force, and so are very happy to hold guns while you are waiting for a renewal. Standard storage charges apply.
Can you transfer to another RFD (Registered Firearms Dealer)
Transferring to another RFD can be easily arranged, though please note there will be a transfer fee of £35 charged along with a Secure Courier fee of £19.99
