Delivery Charges

Our standard delivery charge is for UK Mainland 3-5 working day delivery Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that you order is with you within 3-5 Working days delivery dates can be affected by the time of year and weather conditions and that the 3-5 Working Days Delivery is not Guaranteed.
If you have ordered a restricted product we have a Nationwide network of Gun Shops (RFD’s) but your order will take a little longer (7-10 Working Days) as we have to make arrangements for it to be shipped to an Gun Shop/RFD in your area. The 7-10 Working Days Delivery is not guaranteed due volumes of orders, seasonal and unforeseen events.
The correct postage option will show in your basket. Exceptions to this include heavy items such as gun cabinets and high seats where charges start at £9.99.Certain items are stored at our remote warehouse and will make longer to deliver. We do not deliver to BFPOs.

Overseas and Non-UK Shipping Charges
We do offer Non-Restricted products to be shipped to customers that live outside of the UK (see below on Restricted products and our Exports Disclaimer for more information).
When ordering, select the Shipping option that says “Worldwide Shipping (Email us for a quote)” once your order has been placed, email us at sales@thehuntingedge.co.uk with your order number requesting a shipping quote to the designated country. We will then email you back with a link that enables you to pay for the shipping.
When ordering a Firearm, Air Weapon or Silencer/Moderator
Due to changes in the law (VCR Act-Oct 2007) you have to be 18 years or older to purchase ANY Firearm Air Gun, Co2 Gun, Suppressor, Moderator or Silencer. This item can be collected in store with the valid form of identification and your Shotgun/Firearms Certificate. Guns, Suppressors, Air Guns, Co2 Guns, Moderators or Silencers CANNOT be posted to your home address. It is illegal to send them through the post but we can arrange for your order to be sent to your local RFD (for non-local customers) via a secure courier for you to collect. There will be a cost for this service.
For customers living in Scotland and Northern Ireland, a Licence/Permit will be required to own a sub 12ft/lbs Weapon of any kind. Please clarify this with us prior to making a purchase as we will need to take sight of your Certificate/Permit before we can process your order.

If your order is or contains a Restricted Product, such as a Shotgun/Rifle, Silencer/Moderator/Suppressor or an Air Weapon (Including CO2 BB Guns), we will contact you via email before proceeding further.
If you live out of our 60 mile delivery radius which covers the whole of Kent and Parts of East Sussex we will contact an RFD (Gun Shop) in your area and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf. The receiving/nominated RFD (Gun Shop) will charge between £15 – £25 for the handover and ID Check, but if your total order value is below £300 we will contribute £10 towards the ID Check fee by refunding £10 of the £19.99 you paid for shipping when placing your order.
This means that in real terms the ID Check has cost you just £15. If your Order exceeds £300 we will refund you the £19.99 you paid for shipping when placing your order. This means that in real terms the ID Check has cost you just £5. And you don’t have to wait for weeks to receive your order.
All orders are processed on a queue-based basis so please do give our team the time to contact you and/or process your order.
Please note that due to UK Export Laws we are unable to ship ANY Restricted Products outside of the UK.
For all Non-Restricted Products
If your order does not contain any of the Restricted Products, listed above they will be shipped via the normal channels and no further action from you or our Team will be required and an automated email will be sent to you informing you that your order has been dispatched and tracking will be sent in a separate email by the courier.
Our delivery policy is 3-5 Working Days (Excluding Saturdays and Sundays and Bank Holidays). This is not a guaranteed delivery timeline as seasonal variations such as Christmas and Bank Holidays), unforeseen events and the sheer volume of orders that need to be processed can add delay to you receiving your order.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Restrictions and the impact the Global Pandemic has had on us all, your order may take longer than the stated 3-5 Working Days to reach you.

Local Firearms and Restricted Products Delivery

We carry out a Home Delivery Service within a 60 mile radius of our premises which covers the whole of Kent and Parts of East Sussex and we will personally deliver to your door!
What the Law says
Under current UK Law (VCR Act 2007) it is illegal to send Restricted Products such as Air Pistols, Air Rifles, Shotguns, Silencers/Moderators through the daily postal service such as Royal Mail and other Courier companies directly to your home or place of work.
Our RFD Delivery Service
We offer a Local RFD Delivery Service for Restricted Products such as Air Pistols, Air Rifles, Shotguns, Silencers/Moderators to customers who live within a 60 mile Radius of our premises which covers the whole of Kent and Parts of East Sussex . We can deliver your order directly to your door within 5-7 Working Days provided the purchased product(s) are in stock. The 5-7 Days is not guaranteed as it can be effected due to the volume of orders and seasonal events, but having said this the vast majority of orders will arrive within our stated time frame.
Alternatively, if you are out of our delivery radius we will have a Nationwide Network of RFD’s (Gun Shops) that your order will be sent to via a Secure Courier within 5-7 Working Days for you to collect.
If you live out of our 60 mile delivery radius we will contact an RFD (Gun Shop) in your area and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf. Non FAC Rated Weapons
If your order is for a Non-FAC rated weapon (Sub 12ft/lb Co2 Pistol or Rifle, Spring or Gas Ram Air Pistol or Rifle, PCP Pistol or Rifle or Moderator) we will require proof of ID to show us that you are 18 years old, or older. This can be a current Driving Licence or Passport with the same name and address of the person who placed the order.
FAC Rated Weapons and Accessories
If your order is for an FAC rated weapon (Live Ammunition Pistol or Rifle, Shotgun, Spring or Gas Ram Air Pistol or Rifle, PCP Pistol or Rifle or Moderator) you will need a vacant slot on your FAC or SGC for us to make the entry. We ask customers who live outside our Delivery Radius to send us their FAC or SGC to us to after placing their order. Once we receive the FAC or SGC we will make the entry and inform your local constabulary that we have sold the weapon to you. If you live within our 60 mile delivery radius which covers the whole of Kent and Parts of East Sussex we can complete the entry at your home. If you live outside our 60 Delivery Radius we will send your order along with your FAC/SGC to an RFD in your area via Secure Courier
Once we have processed and shipped your order to the RFD in your area, you will receive a Dispatch Notice via email and Tracking Details. The Hunting Edge can only state that it will deliver goods to you in an approximate period. We will always endeavor to deliver within 3-5 Working Days however product availability can vary. All goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the Order Confirmation. Please note that your goods may be sent to you in installments as availability of products can vary. You may cancel your entire order with us if subsequent installments forming part of your order are not delivered by us. Orders received by 2pm are usually dispatched the same working day.
If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Any such additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. You should note that customs policies vary widely from country to country. The Hunting Edge would like to advise each customer to contact their local customs office for further information if they are in any way unsure of local duties or liabilities.
Please note that when shipping products outside of the UK, you should be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. This can lead to packages being opened and re-sealed. For Christmas Deliveries, we recommend that you order by the 15th December. We will endeavor to dispatch all ‘in stock’ orders within 24 hours, however we cannot guarantee delivery on or before the 24th December as the post may be delayed in your area.

Special Order Items
These are products which aren’t always kept in stock or are tailor made. Special Order Items can have extended delivery timescales so for more information please contact us at sales@thehuntingedge.co.uk for delivery estimates.
Pre-Orders
Some of our products are so much in demand that they are on a permanent Pre-Order basis.These are usually items that are going to be out of stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying for your goods. As soon as the item is back in stock yours will be dispatched within 24 hours where possible. On occasion the dates given can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend contacting us once a month by email for any updates and product lead-in time.
Other products may be a new model in the range or a product that has been launched and is available to purchase/Pre-order but has not arrived in the UK yet. This is quite common in the Video Game Industry where Games are often sold as Pre-Orders on Retail websites months before that game has arrived in the stores.
The leading time of a Pre-Ordered product can vary so it is advisable that you contact us in advance before placing your Pre-Order to find out what the lead-in time of the particular product is.
The benefit of Pre-Ordering a product is that your order is guaranteed and pre-allocated to you before the shipments arrives.
Direct Shipment Products
Some products are dispatched directly to you from the manufacturer on behalf of The Hunting Edge Country Sports. These items can be bulky or heavy, or because we have a fulfilment agreement with the manufacturer. In most cases your order will arrive separately to any other items you have ordered. If you need to return or exchange your product please return the items to us.

International Non UK Export Shipping – If outside UK please read
There are special UK export rules for sales of telescopic scopes of 10x or more maximum magnification and for ANY type Bipod.
Update 31st July 2014 – EU Sanctions – Russia
Until further notice no scopes covered by export control or other Military List Products such as bipods may be shipped to Russia.
This means only scopes of 4x maximum magnification may be shipped.
We will have to refuse, cancel or refund any orders received from Russia until these sanctions are lifted.
If you are ordering from outside the UK please be sure that you read and understood this page before you buy. If you do not agree please do not buy.
Export category 1 – Scopes UNDER 10x maximum magnification e.g., 3-9×40, 3-9×50, 6×32 (number before x is less than 10 then it is covered by this section)
There are no UK shipping restrictions on 9x or under scopes
Just go ahead and buy it and we will ship it. Just be sure you are allowed to import such a product first. Some countries do have import restrictions e.g., Brazil, UAE, Singapore
